"I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy.'" - President John F. Kennedy

Navy Plays Barn Burner, Closes Out Against LA Tech

Navy - 66
La Tech - 43

Navy's offense showed what it could do under new Offensive Coordinator James Vernon by putting up 342 yards of rushing on 66 carries and adding 136 yards passing.

Player of the game Andre Byrd only had 103 of their rushing yards on 17 carries, but he scored 5 TDs on the ground and had 3 receptions for 80 yards and added 2 more receiving TDs.

The Navy offense was unstoppable and it started to look like Louisiana Tech wasn't going to put up much of a fight, but then they returned a kickoff for a touchdown, changing the momentum and started what would be a game where both offenses put up a total of 109 points combined.

Kameron Smith - 8/14 for 136 yards 2 TDs
